SOMETIMES STRANGERS UNDERSTAND OUR GRIEF BEST.
Project Summary
No matter what stage of life you're in, you're always faced with death and the grief that comes with it. I myself lost a family member shortly before writing the script, who led a secluded life after his mother died and probably died as a result.
I strive to tell a story that is both profound and inspiring, and that encourages viewers to reflect on their own experiences and ideas. “Zwischen Welten” emphasizes that sometimes strangers simply understand our grief best. The style is characterized by a consistent handheld look and predominantly acoustic music that allows the viewer to immerse themselves in the story. The film is deliberately designed to leave room for interpretation, allowing for a profound exploration of the emotions and relationships portrayed.
Especially people who are experiencing grief, as well as their friends and family members, should be encouraged by the story to reach out to others and give or accept comfort. . “Between Worlds” is therefore not only intended to entertain, but also to inspire and encourage reflection by emphasizing the beauty and power of empathy and solidarity.
